“In order to get to bed at night, I have to set the alarm clock, because when I sit down at the piano with head phones to compose late in the evening, I can hardly stop.”

Improvisation led me to writing music for the piano. I started by writing music for my students, then for a wider public. My compositions are classic-based, with influences of Jazz and Bossa Nova sounds as well as the rhythms of Forró, Salsa, and Kizomba, which I love dancing to.

“At present, I am playing enchanting compositions by Eva Markus, which have returned the joy of living to me.”

Charlotte Spillmann
